Our campuses in Canterbury and Medway have a warm, friendly atmosphere, with around 15,000 students and 1,600 staff. Our locations mean we’re also really well connected, with London less than an hour away from Canterbury by high-speed train and strong commuter routes for road and coach travel across Kent and Medway.
We’re a modern university, one of a handful in the UK with a campus on a World Heritage Site, giving you the chance to study right in the heart of a cosmopolitan and historic cathedral city, whilst also being surrounded by picturesque countryside and stunning coastlines.

Our courses offer strong routes into careers and employment, from nursing and teaching, to engineering, sport science, computing and games design – just a few of the hundred plus courses we provide. Our research and teaching also say a lot about who we are and how we’re making a difference in society.

The University has ambitious and exciting plans for the future with a £150 million campus development, which includes a new centre for engineering and technology and a stunning new arts building. Further investment in STEM includes the creation of Kent and Medway’s first-ever medical school, in partnership with the University of Kent, which launched in September 2020.
