Located in the High House Production Park, Purfleet on Thames and purpose-built commencing in 2012 and opening in 2013 to accommodate major productions, live events, rehearsals, conferences and workshops, The Backstage Centre was designed in consultation with industry experts from some of the world’s best theatre live production venues.
The building comprises a specialist Sound Stage, with associated Green Room, Dressing Rooms, Laundry and Production Studios. In addition, the building provides a fully equipped Dance Studio, CAD room, teaching spaces and technical training areas. Between the teaching and production area on the first floor is a state-of-art recording studio and live room.
The Backstage Centre provides training for specialist industry short courses across the spectrum for creative pathways, and with partners at the National College for Creative Industries Ltd and South Essex College are able to offer the very latest training for students from 16yrs to Adult.
