Employer FAQs
Frequently asked questions about apprenticeships
What's the maximum funding band?
All Apprenticeship Standards currently available for delivery have an upper limit which is the maximum funding the Government is prepared to contribute and the maximum funds a levy-paying employer is able to transfer to you.
The maximum funding is given for every standard currently available for delivery on the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education's site.
Currently, the bands range from £2,500 to £27,000.
The funding bands are subject to funding reviews and so, it is worth checking the current funding band, even if you previously offered an apprenticeship under the same standard.
If the price you negotiate with the training provider is higher than the funding band maximum, you must pay the difference.
