Thurrock Adult Community College courses

Thurrock Adult Community College courses are available to adults, aged 19 and over at new venues across the borough. Our mission is to make an impact on the communities where we live and work, inspiring local people to learn and progress for their future goals.  

We offer free, fast-track English, Maths, Employability and Digital Skills qualification courses that start in September and February each year plus a wide range of vocational qualification courses to retrain or upskill for your career including Accounting/Bookkeeping, Counselling, LSA and SEND Training or Early Years Childcare together with a large programme of English for Speakers of Other Languages. 

Fee concessions 

From September 2021, adults aged 19 and over could study on Level 3 courses for free, if they have not achieved the level (or higher) before. Courses up to and including Level 2 are free for learners on state benefits or those on a low income. The College also has a discretionary Learner Support Fund to help those in financial hardship or digitally excluded.

Free Confidence Boosting/Self-Esteem, Wellbeing and Family Learning courses enrol all-year round
