I am a University Applicant starting 2020

General updates and announcements will be published on the UCAS website:

It is a good idea to read the resources in the right hand  thoroughly and to check the site for any further official updates and information.

What to keep an eye on:

Lectures and Learning;

Check the individual University Websites for updates, announcements and information published about virtual learning and lectures (not all universities will be making the same decisions, so you will need to visit their personal site).

Halls of Residence;

Check via the university website or communication systems when or if halls of residence will be opening. Again, this will vary amongst the universities so do check with the one you are planning on studying at.

Student Finance Applications;

Please do update any necessary details or information via your student finance application should any of your household circumstances have changed. Guidance for prospective students - GOV.UK

Unconditional Offers;

If you have recently received an Unconditional Offer, please do check on the university website for updates and information about the form of learning you will receive (virtual or face-toface) and the full details of the course before you accept.

Other Student Accommodation Arrangements;

Keep good levels of communication with your landlord/ accommodation organiser to check the status of availability and if any amendments have or will be made.

Deferring Entry;

If you have recently thought about deferred entry, please do liaise with your university directly, as per the following guidance and information: Deferred Entry To University

Check your emails regularly (the ones you provided for UCAS/ SLC/ communication with accommodation providers) along with your school emails so that we can remain in contact. A lot of information and correspondence will no doubt be sent via email from all services, as it is currently the safest and most efficient way of communicating with students.
