12 WEEK TEAM PROGRAMMES

If you’re unemployed and between 16 and 25, you can meet new people, gain new skills and train on our Team programmes in Thurrock and across Essex.  It helps:

  • improve job prospects
  • gain qualifications
  • take part in residential projects
  • take part in a community project
  • develop new skills

As part of the course, you'll also spend some time developing your interview and CV skills to ensure your confidence is sky-high for when taking the next step. It’s completely free and won’t affect your Jobseeker’s Allowance.  

 

GET INTO PROGRAMMES

The Prince's Trust provides free 'on-the-job' courses that will help you gain valuable experience. Working with some of the largest employers in the country, across a range of sectors, the Get Into programmes will help improve your CV and interview techniques. Some courses include a trial shift with potential job offers available at the end.

Virtual Achieve

Eligibility: Age 11 - 19 and not in full time employment or education.

  • Free access to our Achieve modules and qualification for all learners aged 11-19, to study in school or at home.

  • Our Personal Development and Employability skills programme will give young people the opportunity to learn new skills and gain an ofqual accredited qualification.

Development Awards

Small cash awards to help young people who are struggling to access an education, work or training opportunity due to lack of funds. Typically £100 to £150 - the award can be used to fund things such as travel, equipment, DBS checks in order to allow a young person to take up a job, college or training offer.
