Thurrock Museum Volunteer Opportunity

Thurrock Museum has received funding to help them create better exhibitions for the community. Over the course of 7 months, they will receive exhibitions training and mentoring from the Director of Southend Museums. Using their new skills they will aim to deliver 2 exhibitions during the course of the project. They are looking for a creative, practical and organised volunteer to join their team throughout the project and beyond to help increase their capacity to engage with Thurrock’s communities through the exhibitions.
This role would be ideal for someone who is looking for a career in the Museum or exhibitions industry. The team are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion and encourage applications from all socio-economic backgrounds. They would particularly like to support a young candidate who would not otherwise have the opportunity to learn these skills at university.
